Dr. Leticia Susan Lagmay-Solis is a professor and Dean of the University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism where she handles courses in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Research and Travel Industry Practices. She completed her AB, MBA and PhD from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She also obtained a Certificate in Hotel Management from the Centro Superior de Hosteleria de Galicia, Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 2005, and more recently, a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Destination Management from the International Institute of Tourism Studies George Washington University, U.S.A. in 2018.

Her research interests are in the areas of Tourism Education, Human Resource Development in the Hospitality Industry and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Tourism. She is an advocate of preserving cultural memories through tourism placemaking.

Dr. Lagmay- Solis is a member of the Philippine Association of Researchers in Tourism and Hospitality (PARTH), and is an advisory board member of the Tourism Industry Board Foundation, Inc. (TIBFI). She is a recipient of a certificate of recognition of service to the country, given by PI GAMMA MU International Honor Society Philippines Alpha Chapter in 2013 and 2018.
